The voice of the hearth – nurturing and sustaining, threatening and violent or merely endlessly repetitious, reflects the politics, memories, rituals and paradoxes of the familial. In an attempt to make this voice legible I draw upon collections of memories, artefacts and systems to remake simulcras of reality.
